Planned maintenance programme from 23rd January

This programme of maintenance work starting on 23rd January will allow us to complete vital upgrades to the site enabling us to meet new environmental legislation requirements to continue operating from February 2021.

As always, safety remains our number one priority and we are taking every step to minimise the associated risks with this crucially necessary work taking place at this time:

  • The project has been planned meticulously over many months and we have introduced frequent Covid-testing for all those involved, including the specialist contractors, as well as additional procedures to minimise contact between all external contractors and existing site staff.

  • Furthermore, we have instigated specific project coordinators to monitor and support the visiting contractors, who will be working within defined small groups, to eliminate any unnecessary mixing between contractors.

  • We have also arranged for separate welfare facilities for them on site, plus we are issuing guidance on the need for them to bring all necessary welfare-related items (food etc) with them from outside the locality. These measures mean that the need for contractors to leave the site during the work, e.g for provisions, have been minimised.

These extensive preparations mean that the works are going ahead in full compliance with current Government Covid-related guidance for the construction sector and its associated supply chain.

We take our role as a good neighbour very seriously and hope this information reassures the local community near Ketton at this time.
